Grades 1-4 in the fall of 2012
Visit the frog pond, the NEW Wanake Ranch, and the Pioneer Farm to spend time with the Wanake horses, ponies, cats, chickens, frogs, turtles, and other guest animals. Watch for Wanake’s native wild animals: birds, squirrels, raccoons, butterflies, deer, and fox. We will travel to nearby farms to see even more animals. We’ll also swim, make animal projects and crafts, cookout, and enjoy s’mores around the campfire. Live in cabins and follow the NEW early elementary schedule.

NEW MY FIRST SPORTS CAMP

Do you really like sports? Want to try out a new sport to see if you might like it? Come to camp and get a taste of a different sport each day. We will play basketball, wiffleball, soccer, relay races, and parachute games. Be sure to bring your good sportsmanship as we have fun playing games. Like maybe…” crafts, hikes, canoeing, swimming, sports, climbing, campouts, and more. You and your group get to choose how you will spend your week of summer vacation. Of course it would not be Phineas and Ferb if Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Candace didn’t throw some challenges at you along the way. So stick with us cuz Phineas and Ferb are going to do it all with the help of Perry the Platapus. Live in cabins.

NEW MAGIC TREE HOUSE
Grades 2-4 in the fall of 2012
“One summer day, a mysterious tree house appeared in the woods. A brother and sister named Jack and Annie soon learned that the tree house was magic- it could take them to any time and any place in history.” Come to Magic Tree House camp where each day we will read a different book from the exciting series, and then go on adventures around camp where we act out what we just read. If you are a reader, this camp is for you. We will spend an hour or 2 each day reading together. Of course it would not be Magic Tree House if we didn’t hang out in the Wanake Tree House and go on a couple Wanake-Merlin Missions. Live in cabins and follow the new early elementary schedule.

NEW VROOM
Grades 3-5 in the fall of 2012
Bring your bike and helmet for a week on the move. Ride your bike all around Wanake. Learn how an engine works and take a ride on the tractor-drawn wagon and Wanake golf cart. Try your hands at a round of video game racing on the big screen in the Wanake Arcade. Make pit stops to swim, play games, make campfires, and cookout. Top off the week with a bike ride down the Canal Tow Path. Live in cabins and follow the NEW early elementary schedule.

NEW BASKETBALL ALL-STARS
Grades 4-6 in the fall of 2012
Wanake has an exciting new basketball gymnasium complete with nice new hoops and basketballs. Come and hone your skills as each day we will spend 2 to 3 hours on the court. Practice dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and more. We’ll be sure to keep the mood fun as we change it up with fun games like knockout, horse, and 3 point contests. Of course we will cool down in the Wanake pool and enjoy typical camp fun. Be sure to bring your good sportsmanship as we have fun playing some ball!

NEW SWIM STARS
Grades 4-6 in the fall of 2012
Learn to swim or learn new strokes through lessons taught by Wanake’s Water Safety Instructor, compete in a race, try diving, and perfect your cannon ball. In addition to swimming fun and skill building learn to canoe, compete in canoe Olympics, and climb the wall at the pool. Get soaked at the water carnival and on the waterslide. Come splash around with new friends and learn about the master water-walker, Jesus. Live in cabins.

NEW CLIMB ON
Grades 5-7 in the fall of 2012
Like to climb? Enjoy altitude? This camp is for you. Climb the Wanake wall and tower, boulder at the rock lodge, and top your week off with repelling. Learn knots, belaying techniques, and conquer the challenge course. We will take a break from the altitude and go below sea level in the pool or choose another cool activity as a group. Live in Adirondack Shelters.

Grades 7-10 in the fall of 2012
Come to camp and do man stuff. We will go fishing, race around the track on the go karts at Sluggers and Putters, play video games in the Video Arcade, and enjoy a meat cookout (Steak, Ribs, and Wings). Spend time with Phil (Wanake’s Site Manger) learning how a car engine works and how God desires a man to live as a disciple of Christ. The week will be highlighted by a trip to Canton where we will tour the NFL Hall of Fame. Come and spend the week learning what Christ-centered manliness looks like. Height and age requirement for go karts- Screaming Eagles: 11 yrs old and 58” to drive; Junior Racers: 8 yrs old and 52” to drive. Live in a Retreat Center and follow the teen schedule.

NEW BEST OF EAST OHIO CAMPS

Having trouble picking which East Ohio Camp to go to this summer? Are you a Wanake camper who has always wanted to check out Asbury or Aldersgate? Then this is the camp for you. You will live in the awesome rock lodge or survival cabin at Wanake, be counseled by Wanake staff, and take 2 separate day long trips to Asbury and Aldersgate. At Asbury you’ll get to experience their exhilarating High Ropes Course and Zip Line. To get to Aldersgate you’ll take a 2 hour canoe trip on Leesville Lake and then spend the afternoon at the waterfront playing with their incredible lake toys. Back at Wanake you’ll ride horses, conquer the challenge course, let some energy out at the pool party, and scale the climbing tower. Wanake is putting a group of campers in a van and cruising Ohio in search of adventure. Plan your week’s road trips with your group. Trip options include Kendall Cliff’s indoor climbing gym, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sluggers and Putters, Clay’s Park, Baylor Beach, Dundee Falls and more!
